Research Background
My academic career has been focused primarily in the field of polymers and my deep interest in polymer science, technology, and social needs have encouraged me to gain further insights into the subject in order to contribute to the society through technology development. I have always been motivated to learn new aspects of polymer science and constantly involved in the new technological advancements of polymers, and all my research projects have been focused on the application side.

From Graduation, I have been working with the projects that could bring sustainability in the society. During my BE, I have worked on a project that utilized scrap rubber and bamboo fibres and converting this waste to value added products like rubber mats and tyres. Later on during my ME, I have worked on a project that was focussed on developing biodegradable PLA based thin films using solvent casting, that could effectively be used in packaging applications.

In Ph.D., I am working on development of biopolymer based films for packaging applications. The aim of this research is to introduce sustainable technology and alternatives in the market that could be commercially scalable and cost-effective in order to replace the conventional food packaging (chips, biscuits, snack packets, and carry bags) that are a significant cause of plastic pollution.

My research Interests includes development and Innovation of Bio-Polymers, Polymer Thin films, Polymer Composites, Polymer Bio-Nano Composites, Polymer Processing and compounding.
